Chbistchuhch, February 7. At a meeting of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, a report was received that the proposal to send W. F. Simpson and G. Smith to England would be well supported in' Auckland. It was' stated that Smith could make the trip, and it was decided to ascertain whether Simpson could get away, and to ask the affiliated clubs what assistance they could give to the scheme.
