PLAGUE.
Two cases of plague are reported : one a hotel employee and the other a newsboy. Both reside at opposite ends of George street. The present outbreak is remote from the scene of recent cases.
EMPIRE LEAGUE.
Received February 8, 1.2 a.m.
Sydney, February 7. A meeting of citizens decided to form a branch of the Empire League, which has for its object the maintenance of tbe supremacy and integrity of the British Empire.
