An agreement has been signed between Mr Drake and Mr F. J. Morris as trustee for the Company, fixing the purchase money at £4,250, of which the vendor is willing, at the option of the Company to take £500 in fully paid up shares. A statement of the trading uecount of the factory for the period from 4th January to 11th Decem- " ber, 1 900, shows that, with a total of 8479 pig-! dealt with, a gross profit of £2184 0s 6d, and a net profit of £946- 17s 6d resulted, beiug equal to 86 per cent, grosp, and 15^ pt>r cent. net. The Company will establish stations at Warea, Opunake, Kaponga, and Eltham within six months g after receiving a sufficient guarantee that 1500 pigs will be supplied for one year at each of those places.
