FIGHTING IN COLOMBIA.
A SEA FIGHT.
Received January 22, 0,32 a.m.
New York, January 21. The revolutionary vessels Padilla, Darien, and Gaitan attempted to force a landing at Stibina, in the Panama Bay. The Colombian Government vessels Lantara and Chiouato, assisted by guns from Sasboveda, resisted them.
The Padilla attacked the Lantara at close quarters, burning and sinking her after the crew had deserted.
The superintendent of the Panama Railway has cabled to New York that three insurgent and two Government vessels were sunk.
Governor Alban was killed daring the engagement.
