Auckland, January 14.
Last night a man named John Burke died at the District Hospital while under chloroform.
Christchurch, January 14.
A man named J. A. Soabourne, a baker, died suddenly in the swimming baths at Sydenhatu to-nigh*. Death was due to failure of the heart.
Auckland, January 15.
At the inquest on the boy Harry Bates, evidence was given that deceased drank the contents of a bottle containtaining chloride of zinc found under a neighbour's house. A verdict of death by accidental poisoning was returned.
In the Police Court to-day, an application for the issue of a prohibition order was struck out, the applicant .not being present.
