At the second wool sales 400 bales offered, and most of it was disposed of. The tone of the market was healthier, especially for better qualities, which show an advance of Jd to Jd. Mediums advanced about £d. For inferior sorts there was no improvement. Merinos and Shropshires sold up to s£d ; half-breds, 5Jd ; half-bred hoggets, s|d ; Hampshire, 4|d ; lambs' wool, 4J d.
