The Star' and Waitara clubs play off ] for the Senior Championship either on Good Friday or Easter Monday, the ground to be fixed by the association. The Taranaki Herald reports that a public meeting was held in New Plymouth on Wednesday night to consider the pros and cons of the disqualification of the Tariki C.C. by the Taranaki Cricket Association. The folio wing clubs were represented : — New Plymouth, Waitaxa, Camngtotk Road, Unity, and Tariki. Mr Coppard (Tariki) gave the meeting the history of the affair from the start, showing the lax way in which the association had been managed, and the scant treatment afforded the Tariki Club. It was generally regretted that no delegate of the association had mar? it convenient to attend. * resolution was carried unanimously recommending the Taranaki Cricket Association that, considering the Tariki CO. had come forward and fully explained tho facts connected with the disqualification, and having suff ex ed the loss of a season's cricket, the disqualification be removed. A discussion afterwards took place as to the advisability of forming an association for the northern clubs of Taranaki, with the headquarters at New Plymouth.
