FIRE IN DUNEDIN.

» i : (PER PRBSS ASSOCIATION.) \ Donedin, .March 20. j A fire broke out about 6.30 in thn New Zealand Express Company's brick stables, stores, etc., in Cumberland* street. The fire started in a new building, the whole of which, covering threeeighths of an acre, was gutted. It comprised a 48 stalled stable and a large storeroom, 100 feet square, above it. Most of the horses and carts were got | out, but some six or seven horses were burned. The other building; was damaged about the roof only. It is said that about £5000 worth of furniture was stored in the building and destroyed. The building and goods are insured for J68770. •
