(PER PBKBS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, January 30. At the Education Board, a resolution was passed itn order to assist the board's finances) that in every case the engagement of pupil teachers shall terminate when they have completed a full year in the status of fifth-year teachers. The readjusted scales of salaries submitted by the Education Department to the board were considered by (he latter body. Members intimated that they were unable to see what course had been followed by the department in making allocations, and decided to appoint a committee to confer with (he Minister on the subject.
