Received January 26,1.17 a.m. Sydney, January 25. The German Consul-General announces that owing to the death of the Queen, the levee on the occasion of the Kaiser's birthday has been abandoned. Received January 26, 9.20 a.m. Sydney, January 26. Thousands visited the Queen's statue to view the t wreaths from the publio bodies. There will be special services in all the churches to-morrow. The Governor-General (the Earl of Hopetoun), on behalf of the Commonwealth, has asked Lord Jersey to represent the Australian people at the Queen's funeral.
