. . - . (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION,) Auckland, October 24. The Warden at the Thames has refused an application by the ThamesHauraki Company for permission to work with six men until the end of this year. '-.The Company got £26,000 from the Government on condition that they would sink to 1000 feet, with a view of testing the deep levels on tbe Thames goldfield. Already the Company has spent £120,000 in addition to the Government subsidy, and i is now pumping to 668 feet. Tbe funds have gone out, and the Company is in. liquidation.
