Wellington, July 24. The Premier has received a' oable from Hon. Ward who is in London, stating that he bad half an hour's chat with the Hon. McKenzie on Saturday and found him progressing satisfactorily. He is now out of danger. Chbistcruroh, July 28. A' lad eight years' old, named Patrick Joseph Hagan, fell off a ladder at a building in course of construction and died of concussion of the brain last night. A boy, aged 5 years, named Frank Joseph Triganen, was run over by a cab in Oxford Terrace yesterday and killed. At the inquest to-day, a verdict of accidental death was returned, exonerating the cab-driver from blame. Auckland, July 24. A daughter of Barry Adams, Takapuna, aged three years, has died of burns. She was playing with matches and her clothes caught fire.
