At a joint meeting of proprietors of baoon factories in Taranaki province at Stratford on Tuesday, it was resolved in consequence of the large stocks held, owing in a great measure to the disadvantages Taranaki labors under in regard to railage tariff and freights, to reduce the price to be paid for pork to 3d per lb and a bigger per centage is to be deducted for offal.
