Received July 21, 9.45 a.m. London, July 20. There is brilliant weather for the match against Grace's Eleven at the Crystal Palace. The latter batted first and have lost 2 wickets for 213. The programme consisted of an overture by Miss W. Muroh ; song, Miss Pacey and Mr Barraclough ; duet, the Misses Pacey, reoitation, Miss Dukes ; humorous reading, Bey. J. Dukes ; and addresses by Bey Dukes and Mr Wood. During the evening excellent refreshments were provided, and in every respect the affair was a success. In the notice of Mr J. E. Wilson's improvements, published yesterday, there was an obvious error by the dropping out of a figure. The new building is 50ft x 16ft. Attention is direoted to notice by Education Board re wood-carving, &c. High-street, Hawera, on Saturday last presented quite an animated scene. The prinoipal attraction was the great sale at the Hawera and West Coast Drapery Co., and the proprietary have to apologise to those unable to be attended to, and also tender their sincere thanks to the public in rolling up in such large numbers. It is the intention to give bargains each day this week, and judging from the splendid stock this oompany is now showing, they should have no difficulty in disposing of their goods.
