The club has decided to concide with the rules laid down by the Wanganui Caledonian Society in pedestrian events, and those of the League of New Zealand Wheelman in theoycling events, and these rules will be adhered to. Weights will be published about 15th December. Acceptances and General Entries for Nos. 3, 5 and 8 olose at Opunake, at 8 p.m. on THURSDAY, 22nd December. Telegraph Office closes at 5 p.m. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Nominations and entries must be sealed and addressed to the Hon. Secretary, Opunake, with fees enclosed, and name, description, age, pedigree, and performances of the horse, name of the owner, and eoloxß of the rider. No entry will be received for any race except on these conditions : — That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or whom they may appoint ; and their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. The winner of of any handicap fiat race after the publication of the weights to carry a penalty of 71bs in the Flying, Baoing Club and New Year Handicaps; penalties not cumulative. All raoes to be run under the Bules of Baoing, as adopted by the Metropolitan Club of New Zealand. A hack is a horse that has never won an advertised raoe (Hack and Hunter Races excepted) and is not nominated at time of start, and has not during the three months previous thereto, been nominated for any raoe (Hack and Hunter Races exoepted.) • GEO.
