Gunboats shelled the camp at Kerreri on Tuesday. The Lancers skirmished the outpost, where 800 dervish cavalry Wore drawn up, killing several of the latter. A skirmishing party sighted a considerable force, with many standards. General Kitchener, with the main body, reached Sururad, 10 miles from Rerreri. , The dervishers appear determined to fight. / —ii — ■ 1
