Some English Millionaires.

The Hooleys, Beits, and Barnatos are by no means England's only millionires. The Duke of Sutherland is the largest landowner in the United Kingdom, and and the Wilsons, of Hull, are the largest shipowners in the world. Mr ' Labouchere inherited about £700,000 a year from his uncle, Lord Taunton, and it is calculated that "Truth" brings him in about £40,000 a year more. When Mr Joseph Chamberlain retired ' from Nettlefold and Chamberlain, screwmakers, he took with him half a million. He has since nearly doubled this by successful investments. Mr Harmsworfch has an income of £140,000 a year derived originally from his newspaper ventures and his development of the great enterprises of the Harmsworth Bros;' Company and the 11 Daily Mail." From Guiness's Brewery Lord Ardilaur inherited a million sterling, and has besides estates which brings him in £25,000 a year. His brother Lord Iveagh, inherited as much, and both brothers draw a fortune annually from this brewery. Lord Iveagh has about £100,000 a year. — "Westminster Gazette."
