At Manaift, on the 12th, the yank) were well filled considering the time of the year, the attendance was small, and bidding for stock was practically negleoted resulting in but little business being done. We quote :— Springers, £8 to £8 ss ; heifers in calf , £2 to £2 12s 6d; 18-montha heifers, £1 to £1 10s; yearlings, mixed, 16s to 21s. l On Friday, »t Stratford, probably on account of the bash fires, a good number of the stock advertised did not reaoh the yards, and the majority of those yarded were turned home unsold. We held out usual fortnightly sale at the Glover road yards, on Wednesday 19th, and although a rfood entry of useful stock came forward, bidding for others than a few prime fat oows was negleoted. Fat oows, £8 to £8 2b ; 2-year steers, £1 19s £2 10b 6d ; springers, £2 15s to £8 ; heifers hi calf, £1 10s to £1 17s 6d ; yearling*, mixed, 16s 6d to 21b.
