The publio are invited to send framed works of art, oils, watercolors, engravings, or etchings to the Council Chambers, Hawera, for exhibition not later than January 24th. THE following fees are appointed to be paid forthwith for the Segistration of Dogs within the Hawera County (exclusive of the Manaia and Normanby Town districts) for the year 1898, viz : — Fcr Collie Dogs used for sheep and oattle, 5s each For other Dogs 20s each Provided that the payment be madu on or before 80th June, 1898, the fees shall be 2s 6d and 10s respectively.
