Acceptance due by 12 o'clock on the day of Sports. Three to start in all events .or. no second prize ; four or no third prize. Protests, accompanied by a deposit of ss, must be in writing, and be in' the hands of the Secretary ten minutes after the event ; deposit ,to be forfeited if protest is not, substantiated. The decision of the committee to be final. The committee retain a discretionary power in everything. Starter to have power to put back one yard for every false start after being, duly warned, and to order off the field any competitor who persistently breaks this rule, or is insolent to him or any of the committee. -All entrances and acceptances to be forfeited by such competitor. Nominations for handicaps, champion chopping and sawing contests must be in the hands of the Secretary by 8 o'clock on SATURDAY, 12th December, and must in all oases be aocompanied by the amount payable. Feve is by Lord Clifden, son of STewminster, dam Haricot, by Mango Queen ; Mury, dam of Blink Bonny, by Gladiator. Flageolet's dam, Lyra, is by Thormanby ; her dam, Clotilda, by Touchstone, out of Valentia, by Velocipede ; Jane, by Moses ; Harriet, by Selim— Precipitate; Catherine by WoodpeckerCamilla, by Trentham— Coquette, by Compton Barb— sister to Regulus, by Godolphin — Arabian. Flageolet is a chestnut, standing 15$ hands high, with good bone, and is one of the best bred horses in New Zealand. Lord Vivian and Tramore are both by Flageolet, and have proved themselves very fast. All Flageolet's stock are great jumpers. Terms— £2 per mare.
