The Elections.

(per press association.)

CHRISTCHURCH, November J.

The Hon. W. Rolleston delivered a political address to a large audience in the Riccarton schoolroom on Saturday night. He adversely criticised the present administration, especially deprecating the Premier's abuse of his position in accepting office in connection with the Anglo-Continental syndicate. He supported the preaent land policy, and claimed that the Atkinson Government had initiated it. He considered it desk-able that further borrowing should cease. At the close of his address he was aocorded a hearty vote of thanks. He was well received and frequently applauded.
