" Dorothy."

The production of the above by the New Plymouth Amateur Operatic Club on Thursday evening next is looked forward to with interest. The company have the enviable reputation of being the first amateur society to stage the piece, and it is without doubt a big order. Yet they have put it on with credit to themselves, the musio, stage effects, and acting being all that could be desired. Supported by a strong orchestra and chorus, the New Plymouth people will uo doubt draw a crowded house, and in no manner have cause to regret having travelled. A speoial train has been chartered to oonvey the performers, arriving in Hawera at 6.20 p.m. and leaving at 11 o'clock. The train will stop at Normanby, Eltham, and Stratford to pick up passengers.
