UNCLE TOM'S CABIN.
The Unole Tom's Cabin Dramatio 'ompany open here on Saturday night in /Irs Harriet Beeober-Stowe's moral and eligious drarua, " Uncle Tom's Cabin." Cbe company is here for a short season of wo nights only. The company (who lave recently finished a most successful season at the Opera House, Wellington) ire strong in histrionic ability as well as lumbers, Mieß Fanny Wiseman, who is in old and great favorite here, having been specially engaged to play her original jharacter oi " Topsy," as played by her for over 1000 times in England, America, md Australasia. Of Miss Wiseman we aeed make no farther mention, as she is too well known to the public already. Mr Harry Thomhs, of the Dick Sawyer CompanVi plays his original character of " Uncle Tom." The difnoul role of " Eva " is undertaken and played well by the 11 L'Enfant Prodigue" of the colonies, Little May. Tbe rest ot tbe characters are undertaken' by a specially selected company. A special feature of the above drama is the introduction of jubilee hymns and negro melodies by a specially trained quartette, a feature whioh lovers of sacred music should not miss, as tbe Wellington and other papers speak most highly of the above company, more especially tbe singing. The afternoon performance of the above having been suoh a gigantic success in Wellington, Palmerston, etc, tbe management have determined to repeat the experiment in this town on Saturday, 16th September, at 2 p.m., when the admission will be 6d for children to all parts of the house. Oq Monday (18th September) for tbe first time in Hawera, Richard Henry's Domestic Drama will be performed. This little drama is announced by the Wellington press to be one of the " prettiest and most cleverly written dramas of the age." The leading characters are taken by Miss F., Wiseman and Mr A. Brandon- Cremer. 'Although the notice is rather short (owing to some mistake having been made with regard to the Wanganui dateß) we have every reason to believe the company's season here will be a most successful one.
