MESSES NOLAN, TONKS & CO.'S STOCK REPORT.
Our fortnightly sale at Eltham was held on the 19fch inst. Considerably more cattle came forward than advertised, yet saostly found ready dale, nearly all the lines being cleared. At Hawera on 22nd, there was a large duster of both cattle and sheep. Bidding was not remarkably brisk, yet we succeeded in disposing of everything excepting three lots of sheep. We quote.— At Eltham— Calves, 15s to 225 ; weaners, 25s to 355 ; yearlings, £2 2s to £2 12s; 2-year-old heifers, £2. 18s to £3 3s; 2£year-old quiet heifers in calf, JH lss to .£5 5s ; dairy cows, £5 5s to £6. At Hawera— Weaners, 30s to 40s ; yearling heifers, £2; 18-month heifers, £2 15s j 2-year heiiers, .£3 to £B 3s; 2^-year heifers in calf, £4- 9s to .£4 15s ; springers, L 4 15s to L 5; store cows in calf, L 3 13s to L 3 15s ; cows and calves., L47s6d to L 4 12s 6d ; yearling steers, L 2 17s 6d to L 3, 2 year steers L 3 12s 6d to L 3 16s, 2£ year steers Li 12s 6d, 3 year bullocks L 5, fat bullocks L 6. Sheep— Lambs in wool 7s 7d to 8s Id, shorn lamba 8s Id, 2 tooth ewes in lamb 103 9d, hoggets (mixed sexes) 11s. 2 tooth wethers 10s 6d to 11s, ewes in lamb 10s to lls.
