Miners ' Eight Hours Bill.

(PER UNITED PEESS ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, May 8. The Miners' Eight Hours Bill has been read a second time in the House of Com* mons. A division was called for, tbe voting being 279 for and 201 agaioßt. Mr. Gladstone voted with the ayes. LONDON, May 4. Mr Gladstone supported the second reading of the Miners' Eight Hourß Bill, on tbe ground that be believed the majority of miners were in favor of tbe bill, though he admitted he was averse to interfering with adult labor. He reserved his right of action upon the third reading, as he was opposed to making tbe bill compulsory. Tbe Irish members unanimously supported the measure, and so did most of tbe Ministers. Meßsrs Morley, Burt, McArthur, Fenwiok, J.Wilson, and thirty otber Gladstonians voted against it. There was considerable mixing- up of parties in the division.
