A fatal trap accident occurred at Thornbury at eight o'clock last night. After tbe stock sales J. Mills, auctioneer, Cbas. Campbell, butcher, Millar, coacbdriver, and two others left for Riverton, Mills driving. Tbe horses bolted. Campbell and Millar were on the back seat, which fell ont, and they landed on their heads. Campbell's seek was broken ; be died instantaneously. Millar is still unconscioas trom tbe injuries to bis head. Mills, who jumped out, was severely ont about face. The others were uninjured.

At tbe Oddfellows 6esßion to-day, J. Higgmß, of Dunedin, was elected Grand Warden; resolved that a system of district management should be prepared by Grand Lodge executive and submitted to subordinate lodges twelve months before tbe session of 1895. An amendment was made in tbe law of clearance, wbicb wil[ give a surrender value to clearance card, to be paid into tbe Lodge, accepting card by Lodge granting it. An amendment was made in constitution whioh would give funeral benefits in respeot of second wife, upon extra oontr ibutions being paid. Tbe Railway Commissioners expect tbe revenue for tbe year will exceed tbe estimate by from £10,000 to £13,000, notwithstanding damage by floods, etc.
