Our Stratfora and Ngaire correspondent writes:— The Bird road settlers held a meeting last Thursday evening to consider the question of forming a Co-operative Dairy Company on the lines of the Cardiff and Eltham concerns. Mr. Ealfe, chairman of the former company, was present by invitation, and explained the method of working adopted. The meeting appeared to heartily approve of the idea, and it was resolved that h was desirable that Bucb a company should be formed. Provisional directors were appointed as follow :— Messrs. Smith, O'Keilly, Farrell, Jones, Williß, Lyford, and Meyenberg (chairman). A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr. Kalfe.
