The committee reserves to itself the right of making any alterations in tbe programme they may think necessary. 3. Nominations for all handioap events —Nos. 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 12, 13, 15, 16, ana 17 — to be ia the hands of tbe secretary, Mr S. Jackson-Binning, Eltham, by 8 o'c. on the evening of Monday, 20th February, 1893, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, and an account of all performances fcr tbe previous two years. 4. Acceptances will close at 10.30 o'c. on the morning of the sports. 5. Handicaps to be declared on Friday 24th Feb. 6. All events to be contested and decided under the rules of the Hawera Caledonian Society. 7. No prize to be given for any event unless there are three competitors ; no second prize unlesß theie are four competitors ; and no third prize unless there are sis competitors. 8. All competitors to appear in proper racing costume to the satisfaction of the judges. Refreshments on the ground. Band in attendance.
