Dmid Bennett, age 4 between 50 and 60 yean, a resident of this district, committed Bnioide in bis hut at Waimangaroa, yesterday. He had been drinking, and left bis oompanions with the remark that he intended to blow bis head off. An explosion was beard in the bnt. Bennetts body was found lying on a bunk with his head blown almoßt completely away. Deeeaaeff bad apparently inserted a ping of dynamite in his mouth and exploded it. He served in the navy duriog Sue Crimean Wtf, and, ft few years ago lost an eye by accident.
