-♦» . The Land Board met on Monday. Present— The Commissioner of Crown Lands, Mr. Weetman (chairman), Colonel Trimble, Hon. Mr. Kelly, and Mr. James Livingston. EIGHT OF PURCHASE. The appended applications for land with right of purchase were received and acceded to :— W. King, section 5, blook 11, Nsatimaru, upset 2a 3d (130 aores) • H. W Harm, sections 3, blook 8, Huiroa, Is (980 aores) ; A. J. Routley, seotion 13 block 8, Waitara, 6d (755acrea). ' LEASES. The applications ot J. Wallatt and W Yanasch to lease in perpetuity neotion 8, block 11, Ngatimaru, Is 9d (120 acres) and section 1, block 1, Kapara, lOd (1880 acres) respectively, were granted. EXTENSION OF TIME. v, M i r : -, A> S* Jone8 ' leßßee of action 24, block 14, Ngaire, was present, applying for extension for improvements. Extension was granted to 31at December, 1893 ; also G. Holland's application of section 11, blook 7, Kaupokonui, to 31st May. TRANSFERS. The board sanctioned the transfer of section 25, block 15, Huiroa, from R. E Crombie to R. E. Crombie and H. J. Alder. E. G. Maokie applied to transfer section 8, block 16, Waitara, to D. H. Williamson, but the chairman was instructed to inform Mr. Maokie that the application cannot be acoeeded to, as tb,e improvements are in arrear. Mrs. Goodson's application to transfer seotion 8, block 5, Kaupokonui, to D. R. Warren,' 'was referred to the ranger. NO POWER. G. Buckrell applied for fonr years extension of time to complete purchase of sections 1, 2, 3, block 12, Huiroa. It was decided to inform the applicant that tbe board baß no power to grant a further extension of the license. CAPITALIZATION. The following applications to capitalize were granted :— J. George, sec. 38, block 3, Huiroa ; A. C. Pease, sec. 6, block 12, Kaupokonui: D. McCracken, sec. 18, block 3, Ngaire. EGMONT DISTRICT. A memo was received from the Survpy Department re block 6, Egmonfc Survey District, near the Forest Reserve, stating that the Minister has deoided that the land shall be laid out and opened for optional selection as unsurveyed land. COMPLETION OF PURCHASE, The appended applications to complete purchase were sanctioned : — R. Norrish, section 18, block 2, Huiroa; J. George, section 58, block 3, Huiroa; D. MeOrackeo, section 13, block 3, Ngaire ; R. Diogle, section 1, blook 6, Kaupokonui ; C. H. MoCutohan, neotion 82, block 10, Kaupokonui. ' PROPOSED EXPENDITURE. PJana of proposed expenditure were approved of as follows : — Stratford County ' Council, £628 19s lid; Hawera County ( Council, £986 14s 9d; Stratford Town Board, £6 9s 6d. The latter was subject ( to the production of plan and schedule * being put in on a proper form. NGAIBE BLOCK. c A memo, was received from the Survey r Department in reference to the Ngaire c slock and section 245 of the Land Act. a It was decided to request tbe Govern- a nent to supply a copy of the lease, and o enquire whether steps have been taken •* o obtain an extension of the term. -^ The Department asked for particulars, ogether with necessary details, for a loan o be obtained uuder Government Loans to jooal Bodies Act, if roads were required 0 open up the land.
