LONDON, November 30. No New Zealand hemp was offered for sale at the last auotions. The market is very quiet. Medium Wellington is worth per tOD.
During the recent auctions kauri gum, scraped, advanced 2s 6d to 10s, pickings 2s 6d, and chips 3s Gd. Good hard scraped realised £6 ss.
Owing to the mild weather the butter market has fallen 4s.
At the wool sales to-day there was strong competition for new clips. SYDNEY, November 30. Oats— Prime bright feeding, 2s 4a to 2s Gd. Potatoes— N.Z., £3 to £3 10a ; market bare. Batter— Dairy made 8d to Bd, factory 6d to 9d. Cheese, prime, sd. SYDNEY, December 1. A bountiful wheat harvest is expected. The opinion is hazarded that New South Wales will this year be abie to supply her own wants, while another opinion is that even if foieeastsare realised she will still require to import a small quantity. There haß been an exceedingly buoyant tone in the wool market during the week and a strong competition bas forced prices up another fraction. 31,800 bales lias been offered, of which 31,058 bales have been sold.
MELBOURNE, November 80. Cheese — New Zealand factory made, sd. Butter ranges from lid for prime sorts downwards. Flax has small enquiry, and it is difficult to get New Zealand equivalents owing to cutting amongst the manufacturers. Good to prime quality is worth £20 to £22 per ton.
