+ (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, November 1. Customs dutieß for Ootober amounted to £122,212, againet £152,509 met month and £139,757 last Ootober. The beer duty was £4904, against £4573 in September and £5058 in October last year. Q DUNEDIN, October 81. John Muirhead, aged 50, employed on the railway line near Hyde, died on Sunday morning from severe burns about the head. Deoeased had gone to bed on Saturday night leaving a candle burning, and shortly afterwards bis tent was found to be on fire.
