Several members objected strongly to excluding lawyers from Conciliation Courts, and the Minister eventnally agreed to omit reference to flolioitors and make provision tbat either party might be represented either personally or by manager of board of directors or officers. Mr. Rolleston ob* jeoted to Jndges of Supreme Court being presidents of arbitration courts, and said Judges should not bo dragged into labor 'quarrels. ,Sir J. Hall objected to com* palsory enforcement of award, saying it was contrary to the spirit of conciliation.
