A Court circular has been issued, stating that the Queen has received Lord Salisbury's resignation with much regret.
CALCUTTA, August 16.
The Ameer's answer to Viceroy ia considered satisfactory. He is now aware of Eussia's tactics in Pamirs. The situation is causing a fall in securities in Calcutta. though fears of the possibility of a rupture with tbe Ameer have subsided.
It is reported tbat villages in tbe vicinity of JeUalabad have revolted. The TJsbegs have migrated to Russian territory.
TEHERAN, August 14.
Three thousand deaths from cholera are reported from Tabriz. The town is deserted.
ST. PETERSBUEG, August 15. Five thousand deatbs from cholera have occurred since August 11.
