At a meeting of tbe shareholders of tbe Bank of New Zealand the Hon. Sidney Glyn stated that the business of the institution was in a prosperous and healthy condition. He proposed to spend the English winter in New Zealand, and would embrace the opportunity of studying the bank's affairs. Mr. Glyn declared tbat tbe increased deposits id New Zealand over- compensated the withdrawal of English capital. New Zealand seourity, be contended, was the safest of the Australasian colonies, and be hoped shortly to pay tbe Estates Company's debentures and substitute others at the lowest rates of interest. Mr. James Fergusson and Mr. Herbert Fison have been re-eieoted members of the London Board. LONDON, August 12.
