JONES, Proprietor IMLE STAR ALMANACK AND " WEST COAST DIRECTORY. OPINIONS OF THE PEESS. (Taranaki Herald.) We have received a copy of the Haweea Stab Almanack and West Coast Directory, one of the neatest and fullest compilations of the kind issued in New Zealand, It contains a large amount of information, and has evidently been compiled and printed with the utmost care. It has a very complete directory of the West Coast, which has been carefully corrected, and there ia also a good deal of useful information, which will make the book invaluable. (Manawatu Standard.) The best book Almanac published on this Ooast is undoubtedly that of Messrs Innes and Co., of Hawera, the Star Almanac. Besides being a compendium of useful and interesting information, there is a capital directory of the towns along the Coast. The printing is excellently done, and the volume is worth a place in any office. (Wellington Evening Press.) The Hawera Star Almanac and West Coast (North Island) Directory is to hand, and, as usual, it is one of the best publications of the kind in the colony, containing an immense amount of most useful information, including gardening, sporting records, statistics, etc. (Wanganui Herald.) We are now in receipt of copy of the Star Almanack and West Coast' Directory for 1892, the Directory including Wanganui, Palmerston North, Feilding, Marton, Hawera, and New Plymouth. The volume is a bulky one of about 350 pages, and the informal "n therein contained is not only varied an 1 good, but accurate and essentially useful. We note that in the calendar for the months is given the mean time of high water at Wanganui and Waitara; and, besides a diary, there is also a garden calendar, sporting records, educational and statistical information, census returns, fishing and shooting regulations, farm notes, and a New Zealand itinerary. The Almanack in excellently compiled, and reflects most creditably on Messrs. Innes and Co., of Hawera, from whose printing office it is issued. (Marton Mercury.) We have received the Star Almanack and West Coast Directory, printed and published by Messrs. Innes and Co., Hawera. It is a most useful production, and contains amongst other features, directories of Marton, Feilding, am Palmerston. The book consists of 351 pages and is exceptionally well printed and got up » (Taranaki News.) One of the handiest publications we receive is the Hawera Star Almanac and Directory. The Almanac this year is more complete than it has ever before been, which is slaying a great deal, and we predict for it a vory extensive circulation. It contains much valuable information—statistical and otherwise — and as a local book of reference is very accurate. The Almanac is printed excellently, and in this respect, as well as generally, it reflects great credit on the Star Office. pHOTOd-RAPHY. J. C.
