MESSRS. BUDGE & GOOD'S REPORT.
At our Manaia sale held on the 29th inst., we had one of the largest sales we have ever held, several lots of sheep and csttle coming forward that were not advertised. We found a steady demand for all classes of cattle, but more especially young ewes, which sold readily at the hammer. For sheep the demand was not so keen, still there is a demand for wethers. We quote : 3 to 31 forward bullocks, £5 lCs to £5 13s ; 2i to 3-year-olds £4, 135; 2 to 2£ steers, MS 15s to £i 9s ; 18-monthß to 2-year-olds, je3 10s (to £3 15s; yearlings, £2 12s ; store cows, JB3 3s to £3 12s 6d ; 18-months to 2years heifers, £2 12s to £3 ; J-bred Alderneys do, £3 8s 6d ; yearling heifers, £2 5s to JB2 11s ; weaners up to 37s 6d ; fat cows, £A 4s; dairy stock, £A> to £& 15s. Sheep.— Wethers, 11s 3d; shorn lambs, 8s j woollies, 5s 3d to Bs.
