Whereas a petition signed by onehalf the ratepayers of the district has been presented to the Council, praying that the district be merged into the Council, and that such petition has been publicly notified as required by law, not less than one month before presentation : And whereas it is desirable that the Board be merged : Now, therefore, tbe Council, by this special order, resolves as follows : That the Hawera Road District be merged in the Hawera County Council, and that such Road Board be so merged, and cease to exist as from the 30th June, 1888.
