We ore in receipt of tho Haweba Star Almanack and Directory for 1888, ond having examined it in in several places with a row to testing its accuracy, wo can heartily congratulate our spirited contemporary on the manner in which this year's volume has been compiled. Besides containing a directory of the coast from New Plymouth to Wanganui, both inclusive, it has a much larger range of general information than any almanack wo have examined this year, and, being published at a shilling, deserves to have a wide sale.— Wanscanui Herald. We have to acknowledge the receipt of that excellent annual work, the Ha we r a Stab Almanack. It is replete as usual with valuable information carefully compiled and of a nature calculated to be most useful to the residents of the large district within which it circulates. Tho Almanack, which also contains an excollontly-lithograplied map of the Taranaki Provincial District, is splendid value and a credit iv every way to the ofllco from which t is Issued.— Wellington Press. Wo bog to acknowledge receipt of a copy of tho Bta» Almanack, Directory and Diary for tho current year, published by Innes and Co., of tho HaweraStar. It is aromarkably woll got up volume, and should bo very useful to tho West Coast sett] crs —New Zealand Times. Wo have to acknowledge tho receipt, from tho proprietors, of the Haweba Star Almanack anil DnueciOJtY for 1888. It contains a directory of tho district from New Plymouth to Wanganui, inclusive, and also a quantity of information which should be useful to families and others. It should command a ready sale, as the price is only ono shilling.— Wanganui Chronicle. We have to acknowledge receipt of tho Ha we h a Stab Almanack for 1888. This Almanack, which is now a weU established book of reference, contains a large amount of useful information.—"Weilington Post. One of the neatest and best got up book almanacks in the colony comes from Messrs. Innos and Co., of the Hawera and Kormanby Star. It contuing 256 pages of reading matter, including a directory of the West Coast of tho North Island from Wanganui to Waitara, a distance of over 100 miles. There is also a valuable sketch map of the district, with Mount Egmont towering overhead, and a great variety of useful information. As a specimon of typography tho Stab Almanack and Directory will compare favorably with anything of the kind published in the Australian colonies, and it is to bo noped the enterprise of the publishers will be as sufficiently rewarded as it deserves to bo.— Marlborough Ex press. We nave received a copy of tho Hawera Star Auusack for 1888. It is a highly creditable pub. lioation containing a large amount of useful information.—Bangitikei Advocate. We have to acknowledge tho receipt of tho Hawua Stab Almanack for 1888, which has been got up with its usual excellence and completeness. It contains a varied amount of general information and statistics, as well as a directory of the various centres of population in the provincial district. It will be found a usoful book of reference for a 1 classes of the community.— Taranaki News. We hare to acknowledge the receipt of a copy of tho Hawua Stab Aimxhack.
