Mr. Scally'B Corsair, 9st (McCormick) 1 Mr. Kennedy's The Dove, 7st 10£lbs (Kennedy) 2 Mr. Tito's Akatea, 7st lOlbs 8 Mermaid, Make, Ruth, Medora, and Tommy also faced the 6tarter. Dividend, £4 4s. Provincial Handicap, of 50 boys ; 1£ miles. Second horse to receive 10 soys. from the stakes. Mr. Logan's b.g. Landseer, 7st 51b ... 1 Mr. J. George's Armourer, Bst 101b ... 2 Mr. P. Raill's Emmett, 7st lOib ... 3 Ruapehu, Bluebell, Lifebuoy, and Peter also went to the post. Landseer de. clared 51bs over, and Lifebuoy Blbs. Amid cries of " Armourer," " Landseer," and " Dead Heat," the two passed tbe post locked together, with Emmett a good third. The judge gave his fiat for Landseer, who was cheered on entering tbe saddling paddock. Time, 2min 19sec. Totalisator — 248; 44 on tbe winner; 89 on Armourer. Dividend, £A 17s. A protest was entered on the ground that the rider of Landseer had interfered with Armourer, by striking him with hia whip, but the protest was disallowed. Consolation Handicap, of 30 boys ; once round the course. Mr. Kennedy's gg Rimu, 7st 1 Mr. Harrison's Hagar, 6st 71b ... 2 Mr. J. George's Okato, 6st 3 Escapade and Peter started, making a full number of acceptors. Won by a length. The others, with tbe exception of Escapade, were ridden out. Dividend, £2 6s.

A pony race, which was won by Skylark, concluded tbe programme.
