Auckland, March 15. Horses — The supply has been scarcely up to the average, and mostly of an inferior stamp. Competition was steady, and prices bad a slightly upward tendency. There is a good demand for coaching horses. Wool, Hides, and Skins — Wool continues in steady demand, and for heavy ox hides the demand is brisk. We quote ox hides 4d to 4}d; cow hides, 2}d to 3Jd;'calf skins, 4d to 5d per lb. Sheepskins, Is 9d t0485d. Cattle — There has been increased animation for all descriptions, and prices advanced slightly. Sheep — The supply was scarcely up to the demand, and a large number would have found a ready sale. Wethers sold from 9s to 12s 9d; ewes. 7s 6d to 10s; lambs, 5b to 7s. There is a good demand for young ewes. Pirb— -Very scarce j demand good.
