Auckland, February 2. Horses.— But a limited number have been brought forward, and but few changed hands at about the previous week's values. Wool, Hides, and Skins.— The supply continues small, but there is an active demand for lambs' wool at 6d to 6Jd per lb; oz hides, 4d to 4fd ; ccrtv hides, 3d to 8 Jd ; calf skins, 4Jd to ssd per lb ; lamb skins, 2s each; sheep skins, Is to 8s each. Cattle. — There was but a moderate muster of all descriptions at Newmarket on Wednesday, and scarcely any noteworthy alteration in value.
Sheep. — Sheep were penned in moderate numbers at Newmarket on Tuesday. Stores were relatively higher than fat wethers, which sold at from Is to Is 3d per Blbs, ranging at from 8s 9d to 12s each ; ewes, 8s 6d to 10s ; lambs, 5s 9d to 8s 6d.
Figs. — Pigs were scarce, and sold at from 2Jd to 3id per lb live weight.
