DUNEDIN, January 20. The Tarawera returned to the Bluff this morning from her first excursion trip to the Sounds, and will reach Port Chalmers early this morning, starting for her second trip this afternoon. Tbe weather was not quite favorable, but all tbe excursionists enjoyed themselves, and the Bowen falls at Milford bound were seen to advantage owing to the rain. The usual concerts, dances, and regatta were held, the prizes won in the latter being presented by Lady Marßh. The passengers' race, English y. Austrah"ans^ was •won by the English crew. l|

A wrestling match for the five-style championship between George Bobertson and Harry Dunn resulted in a win for the latter.
The Tarawera has started for/the..Soands on a second excursion with 100 passengers.
