♦ |Keuteb.J SYDNEY, November 25. A match between Yernon's team, of cricketers and an eleven of Sydney com* menced here to-day at 1 p.m. The Englishmen, who went in first, lost one wicket for 74 runs. When the stumps were drawn for tbe I day, the Englishmen bad made 263 runt for the loss of four wickets. The scores were— Btoddart, 55 ; Reid, 8 ; Bates, 28 ; Hawke, 48 ; Abel, not out, 87 ; Peel, not out, 31 ; extras, 6. The weather waa fine, and the attendance excellent. BRISBANE, November 25. Messrs. Shaw and lallywhite's team commenced a cricket match against 22 of Gympie to-day. The home team went in first, and were all disposed of for 45. The visitors bad lost six wickets for twelve rnns when time was called.
