The Star. (PUBLISHED DAILY.) THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 1887. A NEW PROJECT.
We are informed, on what we regard as good authority, that the owners of several large blocks of land lying inland of Stratford, and purchased from the natives sometime ago, project applying to Parliament at its next session for authority to construct a railway connecting Stratford with the Central Line. Application will be made to Parliament for concessions, including a right to purchase the native land en route. Should they be successful in obtaining the concessions they desire, they will place tbe venture on the English market, and endeavor to get a syndicate to take it up. We publish this as a rumor, which has reached us from what seems to be a reliable source ; and while we do not guarantee the accuracy of tbe report, we give currency to it foi what it is worth as being of interest to our readers.
