WELLINGTON, July G. At the Supreme Court, J. D. Trennery aud wife, on f\n alleged charge of receiving stolen property, were acquitted. The Battening ca«e at the Supreme Court has ended in three of the accused being fined A'oeaeh. Four others pleaded not guilty, and a nolle pvosequi was entered. Aithur Benn got one year's hard labor for false pretences. A young man named Leonard Tyler was arrested tins morning, charged with being concerned in one of the numerous house-breakings that have occurred lately. The exact amount paid to the Representation Commissioners turns out to be slight'y different to the sum mentioned yesterday. Three unofficial members get £150 each with steamer aud railway fares ; two officials get £15 each. The cheques were paid over this morning. NEW PLYMOUTH, July G. A four roomed house on poverty flat was burnt down at ten o'c'ock this morniug. Insured for £50 in the South British. AUCKLAND, July G. The Seamen's Union has declined to grant a concession of overtime without pay in the cisc of the new steamer Richmond. DUNEDIN. July G.
