Six tenders were^ received, and the lowest, that of Mr. Thomas Twigg, of Manaia, was accepted., The committee then went into the question of finance, and, after due consideration, the proposals a? to the expenditure and receipts for the year were agreed on, and the chairman was instructed to bring up a report on the subject.
