NOW PUBLISHED. THE STAR ALMANACK, 1887. 1 PRICE, ONE SHILLING. Opinions of The Press. We have been favored with a copy of the Stab Almanack for 1887. It is a surprisingly creditable production for a small town like Hawera, and the compilers and printers may reasonably feel satisfied with their work. The almanack contains a great variety of the most useful information, and consists of no fewer than 261 pages, not including advertisements.— Wellington Press. The Star Almanack for this year, printed and published by Messrs. Imies and Co., of HaWera would do credit to any of the large offices in the principal commercial centres of the colony. Compiled with ability and care, adapted to the wants of everyone, and containing 261 pages of printed matter omitting advertisements, the Star Almanack should find a place in every household throughout the district in which it is published.— Wanganui Chronicle. We acknowledge receipt from Messrs. Innes and Co., of a copy of the Stab Almanac* for 1887. As usual, the publication contains much useful Information, and should be found very valuable by every settler along this coast. It contains very correct directories of the towns of New Plymouth, Waitara, etc, as well as Hawera, Normanby, and other places. Every year this valuable almanack shows marked improvement, and we must congratulate the publishers on this evidence of success. The almanack is printed in first-class style, on excellent paper, ana we can safely say that the general " get up Is equal to that of any similar publication in the Colony. — Taranaki News. The ac Almanack for 1887, a copy of which has been sent us, is a very neatly printed and somewhat bulky publication containing a lane amount of information on all sorts of subjects. It should ensure a large sale, and we hope the enterinrising proprietors will be recouped for the outlay they must have gone to in the getting of it up.Taranaki Herald *
