FIRE NEAR ELTHAM.

The old Mangawhero Hotpl on Uip Mountain Road was totally destroyed by fire lite on thp night of the 19th or early yesterday morning. The hotel had some time ago been converted into a dwelling house, and had been occupied by a Mr. Davies. He quitted the house some 48 hours before the fire ocfnrred. The building belonged to JMr. J. In=ton, and was insured for i'Bo in the Union office. Nothing is known of the canseof the fire.
