The Waste Lands Board met on Monday. Present — The Commissioner of Crown Land (in the chair), Messrs. StsiDdisu. Kelly, Livingston, Gowevn, and Syine.

Iv Ngaire block : Section 3, block 9, 163 acres, £241 10s; section 13, block 13, 86 acres, £199 14s Bd. CASH SALES. The following cash sales were effected : — E. Movino. section 58, Eltliam Village, upset £1 10s; H. F. Munu, section 59, Eltliam Village, upset £1 10s. DEFERRED PAYMENT. The following applications for land on deferred payineYit were acceded to : — M. Donitz, section 227, Moa, rural, upset £1 ; R. Priske, section G, block 2, Opunake, upset £1. LEASE TRAN.-FER. W. Pilts applied to transfer lease of section 5(5, block 2, Ngane, to J. Sbarrock. The application was granted. DEFERRED PAYMENT TRANSFER. The trauster ot deterred payment section 81, block 12, Cape, from J. Kavanagh to T. Barrett, was agreed to. APPLICATION TO SUKRENDER. Charles Quin, Normauby, applied for lc-.ivu to surrender le.tfce of section 35, block 14, Ngaire. H> stated that he had complied with the conditions of the board. The board decided that the application, before it, be considered by this board, be referred to the ranger to report upon before June 30. EXTENSION OF TIME. T. K. Worthing, Stratford, applied for four months' extension of time, to complete purchase of section 88, block 1, and section 100, block 2, Ngaire. A resolution waa passed — "That the board instruct its chairman lo reply that it has no power to grant the application. " W. F. Wall, Pihama, also made application for an extension of time to pay arrears of vent on sectiou 25, block 14, Opunake. Mr. Cowern moved—" That the board hold an inquiry, at its first meeting in May, as to whetaer or not Wall has fulfilled the conditions as regards occupation and improvement."
